Indore Family Court Shocks with Unprecedented Order in Love Marriage Case!

Unexpectedly, the Family Court in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, has shocked with a order that a wife provide her husband ₹5,000 per month in maintenance. The odd sequence of events in this case is the result of a love marriage gone wrong. A young woman proposed to a first-year college student in July 2022, and the two eventually were married at an Arya Samaj temple.

The happy marriage was short-lived, though, as the husband allegedly started to mentally abuse her, which caused him to go to Ujjain, where his parents resided. The wife reported him missing after his absence. The issue was brought before Family Court when the husband, when detained by the police, voiced his grief and refusal to live with his wife.

Through a mutual friend, the bond that resulted in marriage was established. Despite Aman’s initial rejection, the woman, overcome with love, made a proposal. After he refused, Nandini is said to have used compulsion and intimidation, together with the support of her family, to force Aman into marriage at an Arya Samaj temple.

Before he was able to flee, Aman was allegedly abducted and abused physically and psychologically by Nandini and her family for a number of days. Nandini filed a lawsuit at the Indore Family Court, hoping to rebuild their marital connection. Aman submitted an interim application for his maintenance and litigation fees through his attorney, Manish Jharola, and presented his argument.

Aman’s attorney said that Nandini owned a beauty salon and that Aman was incapable of supporting himself. The Indore Family Court accepted the reasons put out by Aman’s attorney and ordered Nandini to provide Aman ₹5,000 per month in maintenance.
